New Video Modes: Saver, Best, and Enhanced

We're pleased to announce new video modes for Blink: Saver, Best, and Enhanced*.  On your Indoor Blink camera, you'll see Saver and Best options in your camera settings.  On your Blink XT, you'll see Saver, Best, and Enhanced*.

What do these options mean?

Saver:
If battery life is important to you, this is the video mode you'll want to select.  Saver mode lowers the overall resolution of your motion clips in order to provide you with even longer battery life.  Saver mode records in 360p.  With Saver mode, you should get up to 2.7 years with standard use.  Standard use in Saver mode is defined as 55,000 seconds of motion clips and Live View sessions.**

Best: Best is the same great video quality that you know and love from Blink.  Best mode records in 720p. With Best mode, you should get up to 2 years with standard use.  Standard use in Best mode is defined as 40,000 seconds of motion clips and Live View sessions.**

Enhanced*: Enhanced, available on Blink XT only, records in 1080p.  Selecting this mode will significantly decrease the expected battery life of your camera.  With Enhanced mode, you should get up to 1 year with standard use.  Standard use in Enhanced mode is defined as 20,000 seconds of motion clips and Live View sessions.**

*Enhanced quality requires at least 5mbps upload speed

**Expected battery life assumes use of 1.5v Energizer Lithium batteries with the camera set to record 10 second clips without illumination.
