The Blink SmartHome Alexa skill gives you the ability to enable low battery notifications, as well as set up smart reordering. If you haven't already, enable the Blink SmartHome Skill in the Alexa app by following the steps outlined in our Alexa Setup Guide.
Low Battery Notifications
Alexa can notify you when your Blink camera batteries are running low, giving you plenty of time to order more. You can turn on low battery notifications by following the steps below.
- Open the Alexa app and tap Devices
in the bottom right-hand corner.
- Tap Cameras

- From the list of cameras, select which camera you wish to set up low battery notifications for.
- Tap Settings
in the upper right-hand corner.
- Navigate to the "ANNOUNCEMENTS" section, and tap Batteries.
- Tap When my supplies are running low.
- Tap Just notify me.
Alexa will notify you when it's time to order more batteries.
Smart Reordering with Alexa
Smart reordering with Alexa ensures you have batteries in hand when you need them. You can turn on smart reordering by following the steps below.
- Open the Alexa app and tap Devices
in the bottom right-hand corner.
- Tap Cameras

- From the list of cameras, select which camera you wish to set up smart reordering for.
- Tap Settings
in the upper right-hand corner.
- Navigate to the "ANNOUNCEMENTS" section, and tap Batteries.
- Tap When my supplies are running low.
- Tap Smart reorder and choose which batteries you want Alexa to automatically reorder.
- Confirm your payment and address information.
That's it! Alexa will order you new batteries automatically when the time comes.
