We're pleased to announce new video modes for Blink: Saver, Standard and Best. On your Indoor Blink camera, you'll see Saver and Standard options in your camera settings.*
What do these options mean?
Saver: If battery life is important to you, this is the video mode you'll want to select. Saver mode lowers the overall resolution of your motion clips in order to provide you with even longer battery life. This mode records in 360p and requires at least 500kbps upload speed. With Saver mode, you should get up to 2.7 years with regular use. Regular use in Saver mode is defined as 55,000 seconds of motion clips and Live View sessions.**
Standard: Standard is the same great video quality that you know and love from Blink. This mode records in 720p and requires at least 2mbps upload speed. With Standard mode, you should get up to 2 years with regular use. Regular use in Standard mode is defined as 40,000 seconds of motion clips and Live View sessions.**
Best: Best, available on Blink Indoor, Outdoor, Mini, XT2 and XT only, records in 1080p and requires 3mbps upload speed. Selecting this mode will significantly decrease the expected battery life of your camera (excludes Mini). With Best mode, you should get up to 1 year with regular use. Regular use in Best mode is defined as 20,000 seconds of motion clips and Live View sessions.**
**Expected battery life assumes use of 1.5v Energizer Lithium batteries with the camera set to record 10 second clips without illumination.
