Notifications Not Appearing on Android Devices

In a case when Blink app notifications aren't appearing on Android phones, when only connected on mobile data, make certain the Allow background data usage setting is switched on.

This setting is changed by the following steps:

  1. Open the phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap Network & internet. Data usage.
  3. Tap Mobile data usage.
  4. To find the Blink app, scroll down.
  5. To see more details and options, tap the app's name. "Total" is this app's data usage for the cycle.
  6. Change background mobile data usage.

Always check this setting before performing a factory reset, since that will only reset the settings and not the data.
