How to resolve HTTP 406 errors

  • Unable to sign into Blink at this time
  • Unauthorized access

               

This usually means your VPN setting (virtual private network) is turned on in your mobile device. Turning off the VPN settings usually fixes this problem. If it doesn't, you may need to delete your VPN program so it won't run in the background.

iOS Devices

Turn off your VPN

On iOS devices, the VPN can be easily turned off from the main Settings screen. If the VPN setting is on, tap the toggle to turn it off.

Delete the VPN

If you need to delete your VPN connection, got to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Tap the information icon next the VPN you want to delete and follow the app directions to delete the VPN. Additionally, you can also turn off VPN here next to Status.

Once the VPN is turned off or removed on your mobile device, restart your Blink app to verify your issue is resolved.


Android Devices

To turn off the VPN on your Android devices: 

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Tap Network & internetAdvancedVPN.    
  3. Next to the VPN that you want to disconnect, tap Settings .
    • To disconnect: Turn off that VPN.
    •  To forget the network: Tap Forget.

Once the VPN is disabled or removed on your mobile device, restart your Blink app to verify your issue is resolved.
