Limited Warranty vs Extended Warranty

Blink offers two types of warranties:

  1. The 1-Year Limited (2 years for EU/UK) warranty comes standard with all new devices.
  2. The Extended Warranty is provided when you subscribe to a Blink Plus Plan (US and Canada only).

The 1-year limited (2 years for EU/UK) warranty covers Blink Cameras, Video Doorbell, Floodlight, Solar Panel, and Sync Modules against defects in materials and workmanship under ordinary consumer use, for one year (2 years for EU/UK) from the date of original shipment. This limited warranty applies to any repair, replacement part or replacement device for the remainder of the original warranty period or for ninety days, whichever period is longer.

During this warranty period, if a defect arises in the Device, and you follow the instructions for returning the Device, we will at our option, to the extent permitted by law, either (i) repair the Device using either new or refurbished parts, or (ii) replace the Device with a new or refurbished Device that is equivalent to the Device to be replaced.

This limited warranty applies, to the extent permitted by law, to any repair, replacement part or replacement device for the remainder of the original warranty period or for ninety days, whichever period is longer. This limited warranty applies only to hardware components of the Device that are not subject to accident, misuse, neglect, fire or other external causes, alterations, repair, or commercial use. Note: The Blink Limited Warranty‍ does not cover theft or vandalism; however, we offer a courtesy replacement free of charge if your Blink device is stolen. Learn more about Blink courtesy theft replacement policy.

For the extended warranty coverage to apply to your Blink devices, they must be within its original warranty period when you subscribe to a Blink Plus Plan. Once the original warranty expires, the devices will be covered under the Blink Plus Plan until you discontinue your plus subscription plan.

The extended warranty continues for a Blink Plus Plan for as long as there's no lapse in coverage from that plan. Lapse in coverage is defined as immediate warranty coverage loss when the Plus Plan is paused or canceled. If you cancel your Plus Plan and then resubscribe, devices that are still within the first year of setup are still eligible for extended warranty coverage. Devices that were not, will lose their extended warranty coverage and will no longer be eligible, even after resubscribing.

Non-Blink and other third-party devices are not eligible for the extended warranty. Learn more about Blink Subscriptions Plans.
