If you're experiencing issues with accessing your camera or you notice that generating motion clips and thumbnails seem to time out then this could be an indication that your system may be having problems with your internal wireless network.
The Blink system requires a high speed network connection that guarantees at least 2 Mbps in upload speeds. Although your WiFi connectivity may show adequate signal strengths, the issue could be related to high internal bandwidth usage. Things like streaming music or movies, video calls and gaming can all share and consume the bandwidth on your network. At times this can create a "bottleneck" of traffic, causing your wireless network to slow down. Please consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- Temporarily suspend any streaming of music, movies, video or gaming to prevent consumption of bandwidth
- Reach out to your Internet Service Provider and confirm that your connection meets the minimum requirements
- Determine the age and quality of your routing hardware and make sure that it is adequate for your style of use
