Activity Zones let you mask off certain regions to selectively prevent motion alerts. This can help with excessive motion clips or false alerts. This feature is great if your cameras are outside and you have a tree or bush randomly triggering a motion clip.

To use Activity Zones, tap the settings icon above the thumbnail of the camera you want to change.
From camera settings, tap Activity Zones.
In the Activity Zones screen, you see the camera thumbnail with a grid pattern.
Tap the Update Photo button to refresh your thumbnail image.
The Activity Zones screen for Blink Indoor (gen 2), Outdoor, and XT2 cameras include Basic and Advanced options.
The Advanced mode provides a zoomed view of the thumbnail image for more precise zone selection. Use a finger swipe to move the view and tap to select areas that are active or inactive for motion detection.
A selected area is greyed out. The area within the square does not detect motion, even if motion occurs. In this example, we select the areas that have bushes, since they attract animals, or can blow in the wind, causing false alerts.
When complete, tap Done.
You are then returned to the Settings screen, and the grid pattern now reflects the areas you just set.
