During your Blink setup, you may receive the message "You don't have any online Sync Modules, this is a dependent device, do you want to add a Sync Module first?"
This means you scanned the device serial number before setting up a Sync Module. If you don't have a Sync Module, learn more by reading the Sync Module FAQ.
To troubleshoot this error message,
Tap Scan Sync Module Serial and scan the QR code of your Sync Module.
Open the photo app on your mobile device and scan the QR code on the back of your Sync Module. If you're unable to scan the QR code, you can manually enter the serial number listed on the back of your Sync Module in the space provided.

The Sync Module has a sticker with its serial number and a QR code on the back. The QR code allows your smartphone camera to quickly read the serial number.
