To identify different types of notifications from your Blink system on your mobile device, you can set different tones for motion alerts and doorbell press notifications. Custom alert tones apply to all Blink cameras or doorbells in your account but are unique to each mobile device.

Setting custom alert tones

iOS devices

To set a custom tone for Blink app notifications:

1. Open the Blink app and tap Settings in the lower-right corner.
2. Tap Notifications.
3. Tap Alert Tones.
4. Choose either Motion or Doorbell Press at the top of the screen.
5. Tap to preview a tone from the list, then tap Save to confirm your choice.

Android devices

To set a custom tone for Blink app notifications:

1. Open the Blink app and tap Settings in the lower-right corner.
2. Tap Notifications.
3. Tap Configure Notifications and then Notification Categories.
4. Choose the category you want to customise.
5. Tap Sound (or tap Advanced > Sound, depending on your device's operating system).
6. Tap to preview a tone from the list and return to the previous screen to confirm your choice.
