After purchasing a Blink plan, you may need to attach it to your devices before you can use your plan features. Basic ai and basic plans cover a single device and must be attached to an eligible device. Plus ai and plus plans automatically cover all devices in your account.
How you attach your basic ai or basic plan depends on where you purchased it:
- Purchased on Blink.com: Your plan is attached during the purchase process, and no further action is needed. Linking your Amazon and Blink accounts is not required, but you must link them to receive subscriber discounts. You can unlink your accounts at any time.
- Purchased on Amazon: Your Blink and Amazon accounts must be linked to activate your plan. If you have multiple Amazon accounts, make sure you link the one you used for the purchase. Learn more about linking your Blink account to your Amazon account.
Blink plan subscribers receive discounts on Blink device purchases on Amazon:
- 10% off Blink device purchases on Amazon for monthly plan customers.
- 20% off Blink device purchases on Amazon for plus ai and basic ai1 annual plan customers.2
Your discount is automatically applied at checkout on Amazon. The no-cost trial is not eligible for the discount.
1Ai plans are only available to customers in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, and are not available in Illinois due to state-specific legislation.
2Terms and conditions apply. 20% discount available to plus ai and basic ai annual plan holders (United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom). Discounts cannot be combined with the standard 10% Blink plan discount. Available for use within 24 hours of plan activation.
Attaching a plan purchased on Amazon
After you purchase a plan on Amazon and link your accounts, your basic ai or basic plan will automatically attach to an eligible Blink device when:
- You have an eligible device that's not already attached to a plan.
- You purchased the same amount or more plans than you have eligible devices.
Plus ai and plus plans automatically attach to all devices in your account once your accounts are linked. When your plan attaches automatically, you will receive a notification in the Blink app confirming which device is covered.
If your basic ai or basic plan did not attach automatically, you can attach it manually on Amazon or in the Blink app.
On Amazon:
- Go to the Your Memberships & Subscriptions page and find your Blink plan.
- Select Attach device.
- Select the camera or video doorbell to attach to your plan.
In the Blink app:
- Tap Settings at the bottom right of the app screen and select Blink Subscription Plans.
- Tap Manage Blink Plans to view all your available plans and devices.
- Select a basic ai or basic plan to attach. Only one plan can be selected at a time.
- Choose an eligible device to be covered by your plan. Tap Attach Plan at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Done to return to the Blink plans screen and attach additional plans to other devices.
If your plan is not active after linking, you may have linked to the wrong Amazon account. Learn how to resolve linking to the wrong Amazon account.
Moving basic ai or basic plans to other devices
Only one basic ai or basic plan can be purchased through Blink.com, and it cannot be transferred to another device. To cover a different device, you must cancel your current plan and purchase a new basic ai or basic plan. To cover multiple devices, you can upgrade to a plus ai or plus plan, or purchase multiple basic ai or basic plans through Amazon.

- Tap Settings at the bottom right of the app screen and select Blink Subscription Plans.
- Tap Manage Blink Plans to view all your available plans and devices.
- Select an active basic ai or basic plan you want to move to another eligible device.
- The device currently covered by that plan will be displayed. Tap Move Plan to Another Device.
- Select the device you want covered by your chosen plan and tap Save.
- You will receive a confirmation that your plan was moved. Tap Done to view your active plans.
You can also change the device covered by your plan from the Your Memberships & Subscriptions page on Amazon.
