Does Pan-Tilt Mount work with cameras other than Blink Mini Gen 1?

Pan-Tilt Mount is made to work exclusively with Blink Mini Gen 1 and is not compatible with Mini 2.

Does Pan-Tilt Mount require batteries?

Pan-Tilt Mount does not require batteries. We've designed Pan-Tilt mount to use the power cord from your Mini camera which connects easily to the base. Power is then supplied through a short USB cable from Pan-Tilt mount, that you insert into the Mini power port.

Does the standalone Pan-Tilt Mount come with a USB cable and power adapter?

No, the standalone Pan-Tilt Mount Accessory does not come with a new USB cable and power adapter. You can use the USB cable and power adapter from your existing Mini camera to power your Pan-Tilt Mount.

Do I have to use the USB cable and power adapter that came with the Mini Camera (or in my Pan-Tilt Camera Bundle)?

Yes, the included USB cable and power adapter should be used due to power consumption when Pan-Tilt Mount and Mini Camera are running. The provided cable and adapter have been tested for compatibility and optimal functionality. Compatible USB cables can also be purchased here.

What color does Pan-Tilt Mount come in?

Pan-Tilt Mount is available in black and white, just like its compatible Mini Camera! You can use a black or white Pan-Tilt Mount with either color of Mini camera.

Will Pan-Tilt Mount work outdoors?

No, Pan-Tilt Mount is only for indoor use.

Is Pan-Tilt Mount water resistant?

Since Pan-Tilt Mount is only made for indoor use, it is not water resistant.

Can Pan-Tilt Mount be connected to my existing Mini Camera?

Can I swap which Mini camera is attached to my Pan-Tilt Mount?

Yes, you can swap which Mini camera is attached to Pan-Tilt Mount. If the Mini camera is already connected to your account, you can unplug the current Mini camera attached to your Pan-Tilt Mount and plug in your second Mini camera in its place. Pan-Tilt Mount will automatically configure to the new Mini Camera and perform a calibration sequence. Be sure the mount has enough room to preform the full range of motion.

What is ‘Calibration’ and when does it occur?

Calibration is an automatic process that your Pan-Tilt Mount will complete during setup, after power loss or when initiated manually from within the Blink App. It is necessary in order to maintain accuracy of movements and for optimal device performance and ensures that the mount is working as expected.  Click to learn more about calibration.

In which directions does Pan-Tilt Mount move?

The ‘Default Position’ is 180 degree pan position from the USB port and 90 degree tilt position from the base. When you are in Live View you can manually set or update the default home position. Pan-Tilt Mount can move 350 degrees left and right and 125 degrees up and down. You will be able to achieve a 360 degree view using Pan-Tilt Mount when attached to a Blink Mini Camera!

What is the ‘Default Position’ for Pan-Tilt Mount?

The ‘Default Position’ is the position in which Pan-Tilt Mount will return to when the ‘home’ button is tapped during Live View. Can Pan-Tilt Mount be mounted on both horizontal and vertical surfaces?

Yes, Pan-Tilt Mount is designed to be mounted on horizontal surfaces such as a table, shelf, or counter. It can also be attached to walls and ceilings using the built-in 1/4 in. threaded screw in the base, when using a third party mounting accessory (not included). When using a third party mounting accessory, please refer to their manufacturer instructions for assembling the mount and attaching the device.

Can Pan-Tilt Mount scan my room?

Does Pan-Tilt Mount work with Alexa?

Can I invert the view of my Mini Camera and Pan-Tilt Mount?

Does Pan-Tilt Mount work with Extended Live View?

Will Pan-Tilt Mount affect me if I am using Mini as a Chime?

You can use your Mini as a Chime for your Blink Video Doorbell when Mini is connected to your Pan-Tilt Mount; however, the chime will not play when you are accessing a camera in Live View or moving your camera using the app controls. Pan-Tilt Mount does not limit your access to any additional Blink features.
