Person Detection is a Blink Subscription Plan feature available for Blink Mini 2, Outdoor 4, Wired Floodlight and the Video Doorbell (2nd Gen). This feature uses computer vision to differentiate motion triggered by a person, making it convenient to review person-related activity and reduce unwanted person-triggered motion events.

Turning Person Detection on/off

To turn Person Detection on or off:

1. Open the Blink app and tap the More (⋯) button on the camera thumbnail from the Home screen.
2. Select Device Settings, then Motion Settings.
3. Tap Motion Recording Types.
4. Check the box for Person Detection.
5. Tap Save to apply your changes.

   Note: To turn Person Detection off, uncheck the box and tap Save.

When people are detected as a motion type, you’ll receive a ‘There is a person at your [Camera Name]’ notification, and a ‘Person’ event type icon will appear in your Clip List. Learn how to filter and view motion clips in the Blink app.
