How Can I Reset/Change My Blink Password?
If you want to change, or have forgotten your password and need a reset, you can tap Sign in from the Blink app main screen. Enter just your e-mail address and tap Forgot password? then you will be sent an e-mail with instructions for how to reset your password.
Tap Forgot Password? and a Multiple Factor Security PIN is sent to your phone. When the PIN is entered, you are able to reset the password.
If you receive an error, click the link for troubleshooting steps.
You can also update the password at any time if you are signed-in to the app.
To do this, tap on the Account icon in the bottom right of the home screen.
Then tap Password on the Account screen.
You will see a notice that if you are using Blink with Alexa or IFTTT, you will need to re-link those accounts.
Tap "OK" to continue.
Next, you will see the following screen requesting phone verification for your account.
Once you enter the PIN from your text or phone call and tap Verify, you will be able to enter your new password.
Note: Passwords have the following requirements.
Type the same new password in each textbox, then tap Change Password.
You will then see the following screen requesting phone verification for your account again.
Once you enter the PIN from your text or phone call, tap Verify to complete the process.
You will then see the Welcome to Blink! login screen again and can enter your email and new password to enter the app.
After you successfully change your password, any devices that were logged in, get signed out. Those devices must use the new password to log in, and they will go through the normal PIN verification step where the security code is sent to the account owner's phone.
