Purchasing and Managing Blink Subscription Plans

In-App Purchasing of Blink Subscription Plus Plans is gradually rolling out to eligible US customers with iOS devices. The latest version of the Blink app is required.

US customers now have the option and convenience of purchasing Blink Subscription Plus Plans on Amazon or using their Apple iOS devices. With a Blink Subscription Plan, you can make the most of your smart security. Save and share clips and live view recordings from your Blink devices conveniently in the cloud. Experience advanced features like Person Detection, Blink Moments, and more all through the Blink app.

Please note that pricing through third-party billing partners may vary.

Read below to learn more about about purchasing plans through Amazon and Apple subscription channels.

 Amazon Purchase

Visit the Amazon Blink Subscription purchase page or compare plans.

Note: Subscriptions in the US cannot be purchased on the Amazon marketplace app. If you're using a mobile device, you must use a browser such as Safari or Chrome when purchasing a subscription on Amazon.

Add a Basic Plan which covers one eligible device (Blink Outdoor 4, Wired Floodlight Camera, Video Doorbell, Mini, Mini 2, Indoor or Outdoor 3rd Gen) camera. 

The Plus Plan provides benefits for an unlimited number of Blink devices on an account.

Note: The XT, XT2 and (1st Gen) Indoor devices can only be added to a Plus Plan subscription. 
Blink subscription plans are only sold and managed on Amazon.com. Amazon Business accounts, Amazon Store Cards and Amazon Secured Cards can not be used to purchase Blink subscriptions.

The following steps also explain how to purchase and activate your subscription plan.

  1. Link your Amazon and Blink accounts. Learn more about linking your accounts.
    Note: It is important that your subscription plan is chosen, attached and purchased using the same Amazon.com account that is linked to your Blink account.

  2. Purchase a subscription plan. Customers will have the option for a Basic or Plus plan. Both tiers have a Monthly and Yearly option. 
     
  3. Choose the Device you’d like to attach to your subscription (only applies to Basic Plans since Plus Plans cover all eligible devices on a Blink account), and then select the Continue checkout button. Since Basic plans only cover single cameras, you may have multiple Basic plans within the same account, each covering a specific camera.

    Note: You will only have to manually attach devices if you have more eligible devices than Basic plans.

  4. Next place an order for the Subscription. 

  5. Your devices are now covered with a Blink subscription plan!

    You can then view and manage your purchased Blink Subscription Plans from Your Memberships and Subscriptions. Learn more about Managing Your Memberships and Subscriptions.

    After these steps your Blink subscription is activated and if you are within your free trial period, you will be charged when it ends. A bill item "BLINK AMZN.COM/BILL WA" will appear on your card statement. Learn about Linking a Blink Subscription Plan after Purchasing It.

In-App iOS Purchase

US customers can now purchase Blink Subscription Plus Plans directly on their Apple iOS devices. This feature allows customers to easily subscribe, manage, and enjoy their Blink services directly within the app interface, integrated with Apple subscriptions management platform. Note: Customers also have the option to purchase Blink Basic plans on Amazon.

Blink Subscription Plans enable exciting features including unlimited cloud video recording, 60-day unlimited cloud storage, Extended Live View, Photo Capture, Person Detection, Moments and Auto-Update Thumbnail. Learn more about Blink Subscription Plan features and benefits or compare plans.

How to subscribe

When you start a 30-day free trial, you will be taken through a tour in the app of Blink Subscription Plus Plan features and be given an option to subscribe to a plan. Once you have subscribed to a plan, your trial will end immediately and your Plus plan will be active. You can subscribe to a Plus plan in the app with the following steps:

Note: In order to purchase a subscription plan using your iOS device, you first need to have a payment method added on your Apple account. Learn more about adding a payment method to your Apple ID.

  1. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. From the Settings screen, tap Blink Subscription Plans and Subscribe to a Blink Plus Plan. You may be prompted to enter your Apple ID password, based on your iOS device settings. Learn more about Security and your Apple ID.
  3. Select an annual or monthly plan and tap Continue.
  4. A Terms of Service and review of your order displays. Tap Subscribe at the bottom to purchase your plan.
  5. Next you will see a confirmation of your successful purchase and select OK.

After your 30-day free trial ends, you also have an option to subscribe in-app, if you haven't already. When you access a feature that's only available for Blink Subscription Plus Plans (ex. Extended Live View, Person Detection and Moments) just tap Sign Up Now and follow the prompts to guide you through.

FAQs

After purchasing a Blink Subscription Plan in app, am I eligible to receive discounts on Blink products?

Yes. The 10% discount on Amazon activates for Blink Plus plan subscribers, only when you link your Amazon account to your Blink account in the app. Your discount is automatically applied at time of checkout on Amazon.com and only applies to Blink hardware. Can Android devices be used to make Blink subscription in-app purchases?

No. Android devices do not currently support in-app purchasing of Blink subscription plans. Only Apple iOS devices are supported to purchase Blink Subscription Plus plans in the Blink app. Once a subscription is purchased with an iOS device, the subscription benefits are accessible on an Android device.

No. Currently only US customers are eligible to make in-app purchases of Blink Subscription plans.

Yes. The subscription benefits and coverage are identical whether you purchase a Blink Subscription Plus Plan in-app or on Amazon.

If I delete my Blink account or Blink app, will my Blink in-app purchased subscription plan through Apple automatically cancel?

Managing and Canceling Subscriptions

In-App Purchased Plans

Once you've purchased a Blink Subscription Plus Plan in the Blink app, you can view and cancel your subscription directly on your Apple iOS device. When you cancel a subscription plan, all refunds are handled through Apple. Learn more about Apple billing and subscriptions

You can also view and manage your Blink subscription in the app by tapping Settings and select Blink Subscription Plans. At the bottom of the Plan Details section, your Subscription Channel displays Apple when you purchase your plan in-app. Tap Manage subscription to view the Subscriptions screen on your iOS device, where you can manage your purchased Blink Subscription Plus Plan.

Subscriptions can also be changed from monthly to yearly, or yearly to monthly plans from the Subscriptions screen in your Blink app. New plan changes take effect after current plans reach the end of their billing cycles.

Amazon Purchased Plans

You can view and manage Blink Subscription Plans from the Blink Subscription Plans screen (as described above) or on the Your Memberships and Subscriptions page, where you will see a list of your active, canceled, and expired subscriptions. Blink subscription plans purchased on Amazon can also be cancelled from this page.
