If you experience difficulties selecting or switching the network coverage type for your Outdoor 4 camera, verify:
- The camera is at least 4 feet away from the Sync Module XR.
- The camera is within 100 feet of your Wi-Fi network.
If the camera is farther than 100 feet from your Wi-Fi network, temporarily move it closer and attempt to select the network coverage type again.
To select your camera’s network coverage type:
- From the Home Screen, tap the More (...) button located at the bottom right corner of the camera's thumbnail image.
- Tap Device Settings.
- Tap General Settings.
- Under Network, select Camera Network.
- From the Network Selection screen, choose either Wi-Fi, Extended Range (XR), or Extended Range Plus (XR+), then tap Save.
- If using Extended Range on more than one camera, both must be of the same type (XR or XR+). For information on switching your camera’s network coverage type, visit Switching Network Coverage Type for Outdoor 4 Cameras.
If you’re still experiencing difficulties selecting your camera’s network coverage type, delete the camera from your system and re-add it. During setup, you will be prompted to select the network coverage type for the camera again.
