
Getting started
If you're new to Blink, download the Blink app and create your account. Once you have completed these steps, you can proceed with setting up your Outdoor 2K+.
Setting up your Outdoor 2K+
Outdoor 2K+ requires a Sync Module to function. Before setting up your camera, ensure you have a Sync Module connected to your account. If you don't, refer to the steps below:
Setting up a Sync Module
If you are replacing a Sync Module with a new one, refer to replacing your existing Sync Module.
If setting up multiple cameras and Sync Modules, place each Sync Module in a separate room with at least one wall between them.
- Plug in your Sync Module.
- From the Blink app Home Screen, tap the plus + icon in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Sync Module.
- Scan the QR code on the back of the device or tap Enter Serial Manually.
- Choose an existing system or create a new one with a unique name, then tap Continue.
- When the Sync Module displays a blinking blue and solid green LED, tap Discover Device.
- If a different light pattern is displayed, refer to Understanding Sync Module LED Lights for troubleshooting steps.
- When prompted, tap Join / Connect to join the temporary Wi-Fi network 'BLINK-xxxx.'
- Select your local Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and tap Join. If needed, wait for firmware updates.
- If your network doesn't appear, tap Refresh List.
- When setup is complete, tap Done.

DeleteOnce your Sync Module is added, you can proceed with setting up your Outdoor 2K+ in the Blink app.
- From the Blink app Home Screen, tap the + icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select Wireless Cameras.
- During set up, be sure to keep your new wireless camera in the same room as your Sync Module (within 7 feet). Tap Continue.
- Use the provided right-angle tool to unscrew the center (turn counter-clockwise) and remove the camera's back cover. Tap Continue.
- Install the two included Energizer Lithium AA (non-rechargeable) batteries, making sure to align them with the + and - symbols marked inside. Tap Continue.
- Locate the QR code and device serial number (DSN) on the back of the camera and tap Scan QR Code. Scan the QR code or tap Enter Serial Manually to enter the device serial number.
- Choose a system for your Outdoor 2K+ camera that includes a Sync Module and tap Continue.
Your system must be disarmed to add your camera. If your system is armed, tap Disarm when prompted. - When the LED lights blink red on the front your camera, tap Discover Device.
- Your camera may need a firmware update, which takes a few moments. Once you see a message confirming the camera has been added, tap Continue.
- Name your camera by selecting a default option, or tap Custom to enter a unique name.
- Tap Done to complete setup.
- Replace the back cover of your camera by turning the screw clockwise (right) three times using the right-angle adapter, coin, or large screwdriver until the back cover sits flush with the camera.
Note: The silicone plug covering the USB port must always be covered in order for your camera to be weather-resistant. - To follow the in-app mounting steps, tap Mounting information or visit Mounting your Outdoor 2K+.
To receive motion alerts, you must arm your system and turn on motion detection for your camera.
