
What is Blink Chime?
Blink Chime is a plug-in accessory that chimes when your compatible Blink doorbell detects a doorbell press or motion event. To hear doorbell notifications, you can place Blink Chime anywhere in your home with a wall outlet. Designed for indoor use only, it requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection.

Which Blink doorbells are compatible with Blink Chime?
Blink Chime is compatible with Video Doorbell, Video Doorbell (2nd Gen), Wired Doorbell 2K+ and Battery Doorbell 2K+.

Yes. You can use multiple Blink Chimes throughout your home with no limit. Multiple Blink doorbells can use the same Blink Chime, and a single doorbell can trigger multiple Blink Chimes.

How do I set up my Blink Chime?
To set up Blink Chime:
- From the Blink app Home Screen, tap the + icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select Chime from the list of devices.
- Scan the QR code on the back of the device, or enter the MAC address manually. When entering manually, do not include special characters (colons, dashes, or spaces).
- Name your Blink Chime by selecting any of the available default options or tap Custom to enter a unique name.
- Plug your Blink Chime into a wall outlet, and hold down the reset button for 10 seconds or until the indicator light blinks green, when ready tap Continue. If the light indicator does not blink green, tap Light Not Blinking.
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks. The Blink Chime supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Note: WPA2 or higher security is recommended. WEP networks are not supported. Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap Join. - Wait while the device connects to your network. The LED will flash blue while connecting. If connection fails, tap Try Again.
- When the connection is successful, the LED will turn solid blue, and the app will display a confirmation message. When prompted, you can choose to save your Wi-Fi password for easier setup of future devices. Tap Done.
- If the connection fails, ensure you are within range of your router and that your Wi-Fi credentials are correct, then tap Try Again.
- Select which notifications you want to hear on your Blink Chime. For each doorbell listed:
- Tap the bell icon to hear doorbell press notifications.
- Tap the motion icon to hear motion notifications.
- Tap both icons to hear both types of notifications.
- If successful, tap Done to complete setup. If pairing doesn't work, tap Try Again to retry the connection, or tap Skip to complete setup and pair your device in Settings later.
Where can I place my Blink Chime?
Blink Chime is designed for indoor use only. Plug it into any standard wall outlet where you want to hear notifications when a doorbell press or motion is detected. Blink Chime requires a Wi-Fi connection to communicate with your doorbells and operates in temperatures from 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C).

How do I change my Blink Chime notification settings?
You can change which notifications (doorbell press or motion) trigger your Blink Chime at any time after setup.

- Select which notifications you want to hear. For each doorbell listed:

Can I use my Blink Chime without a Blink plan ?
Yes. Blink Chime works with all compatible Blink doorbells without a Blink plan and will sound for all motion events.

- Blinking green: Ready for setup.
- Flashing blue: Connecting to Wi-Fi.
- Solid blue: Successfully connected.

Why is my Blink Chime not appearing in the Blink app after setup?
If your Blink Chime is not appearing in the Blink app after setup, ensure it is plugged into a working outlet and the indicator light is on. Try unplugging it, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging it back in. If the issue persists, you may need to set it up again through the Blink app.

If Blink Chime is not playing sounds, verify that:
- Blink Chime is linked to your Wired Doorbell 2K+ or Battery Doorbell 2K+ in the Blink app.
- The volume is not set to the lowest level or muted.

- Your doorbell has a strong Wi-Fi connection.

A slight delay (1-3 seconds) is normal as the notification travels through your Wi-Fi network. If the delay is longer:

- Restart your router if needed.
If the issue persists, try unlinking and relinking your devices to Blink Chime through the device settings.
