Controlling the light on your Mini 2

You can manually operate the spotlight on your Blink Mini 2 camera on the home screen of the Blink app, by tapping the More buttonsettings icon in the lower right corner, in the thumbnail image for your camera. Then tap to turn the light on or off.

The spotlight will stay lit until it's manually turned off or automatically shut off based on your Timeout after Manual Activation in your Lighting Settings. It can be set to automatically shut off after 30 seconds (default setting) or up to 10 minutes.

Your light will also turn on motion is detected at night. This feature can be turned on by enabling Motion Activation in Lighting Settings. This can be set to automatically shut off after 30 seconds (default setting) or up to 10 minutes after motion activation.

The spotlight will only turn on if it's in a dark area. It does not turn on when the camera detects daylight or too much ambient light in the scene.

Note: When the system is armed and the spotlight is enabled on motion detection, the spotlight may trigger when changes in the scene are detected. This may not trigger a motion clip to be recorded, if our motion detection algorithm does not detect enough motion to trigger a clip.
