How to Grant Account Access for Blink Customer Support

Blink customer service agents can never view your clips or live views.

At Blink, we take the security of your account seriously. That's why we've implemented a 2-Factor-Authentication process, when the account owner is interacting with Blink Support. The extra layer of authentication helps secure access to your Blink account.

One way we protect your information is by hiding your account details until you grant permission for a support agent to access your account. To improve your experience, we recommend enabling the Grant Blink Support Account Access toggle under settings before contacting technical support. If you are not able to access your account, contact our Customer Support team.

To grant customer service access to your account:

  1. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Tap Account and Privacy.
  3. Tap Grant Customer Support Access.
  4. Toggle Grant Blink Support Account Access on.
  5. If you are prompted to provide a 6-digit verification code, enter the code sent to the email address or phone number associated with your Blink account.
  6. A confirmation message will appear. Select OK to proceed. Please note that Customer Support will have access to your account for 14 days. You can revoke Customer Support access at any time by toggling off Grant Blink Support Account Access in Settings.

This privacy feature is present from Blink app versions 6.1.3 (iOS) and 6.1.2 (Android and Fire OS) onward. Refer to Current Blink App Versions to learn about updating your Blink app.

Customer support is here for you 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
