This article describes how to adjust the chime volume for your Video Doorbell and your in-home chimes.
Changing the volume of the Video Doorbell
By default, the doorbell plays a chime sound through its internal speaker when the ringer button is pressed. To change the volume of this chime, follow these steps.
- On your doorbell's thumbnail, tap More and select Device Settings.
- Tap Audio Settings.
- Adjust the slider under Dingtone Volume to your preferred volume, or completely left to turn off.
- Press Save.
Changing the volume of your in-home chime
When wired to your existing chime wiring, the doorbell can activate your existing in-home chime with doorbell button presses. You can change the strength of the mechanical or digital chime sound in the Blink app by following these steps.
- On your doorbell's thumbnail, tap More and select Device Settings.
- Tap Doorbell and Chime Settings and then Chime Power.
- On the Chime Setup screen, tap Test Sound and you'll be prompted to acknowledge the chime test.
- If you select Yes, Chime Sounds Good, the next screen is the power analysis for the chime.
- If you select No, Sounds Too Soft Or Incomplete, a level selector displays allowing you to set your preference. We recommend changing two units at a time.
- Tap Continue.
- Tap Done to return to the home screen.
