With live view, you can access real-time video and audio from your camera directly within the Blink app and from certain Alexa-enabled devices. To learn more, visit Alexa live view and two-way audio.
Duration:
- For wireless cameras, a live view lasts 30 seconds. Tap Continue? to extend viewing for up to 5 minutes total.
- For wired cameras (Mini/Mini 2 or Wired Floodlight), a live view lasts 60 seconds. Tap Continue? to extend viewing for up to 5 minutes total.
Extended live view is a Blink Subscription feature that lets you watch video feeds for up to 90 minutes without interruption from your Blink Mini or Wired Floodlight Camera. To learn more, visit Extended Live View.
Starting a live view
To start a live view from the Blink app:
- Open the Blink app.
- Locate the camera you want to view.
- Tap the play button in the center of the thumbnail to start live view.
Android-only features
Quick access from home screen:
- Press and hold the Blink app icon.
- Tap a camera from the pop-up list to start live view.
Create camera shortcuts:
- Long-press the Blink app icon.
- Long-press the camera you want.
- Drag the camera icon to an empty spot on your device's home screen.
- Tap the shortcut anytime to start live view.
Changing from portrait to landscape view
When you start a live view, your image is in portrait view. Tap the full screen icon in the top right of the screen, or turn your mobile device 90° sideways to access landscape view.
Once you are in landscape view you can tap the icon in the top right again, or turn your mobile device 90° to revert back to portrait view.
Live view features
Your Blink camera offers these features during live view:
- Two-way talk: Have live conversations with visitors through your camera; tap the microphone to speak and hear their responses through your phone. To learn more visit, Two-way audio.
- Light control: For cameras with a lighting settings, you can control the lights of your Floodlight Camera or Mini 2.
- Multi-client live view: Watch live view from one camera on up to 5 different mobile devices linked to your Blink account. To learn more, visit Multi-Client Live View.
- Auto-live and Alexa: When your Blink and Alexa accounts are linked, Alexa compatible devices automatically display a live view when someone presses your Blink Video Doorbell. You'll also get these notifications on your phone. To learn more, visit Alexa Live View and Two-Way Audio.
