What does the Blink subscription plan include?

Blink Subscription Plans enable exciting features including unlimited cloud video recording, 60-day unlimited cloud storage, live view recording and photo capture (available on new Blink Video Doorbell and Blink Indoor/Outdoor cameras). Click here to learn more about subscription plan benefits.


What happens when my free trial ends?

We hope you have enjoyed your free trial of the Blink Subscription Plus Plan!

Once your free trial ends, no new recordings will be saved to the cloud and your existing cloud recordings will be deleted based on your settings in the Blink app. 

Blink XT, XT2, and legacy Indoor cameras are eligible for the Blink Subscription Plus Plan; however, they do not require a subscription to save videos when the free trial ends. When these cameras are not covered by a subscription plan, they use their 7200 seconds per Sync Module of cloud storage. Click here to learn more.


Am I eligible for a Blink Subscription Plan?

Customers who own Blink devices can choose to purchase a Blink Subscription Plan. A 30-day free trial of the Blink Subscription Plus Plan starts immediately when your new eligible Blink device is set up. An Amazon.com account is required to purchase and activate Blink Subscription Plans.


How do I get a Blink Subscription Plan?

To sign up for a Blink Subscription Plan, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Blink app and link your Amazon.com account within the Account screen.
  2. Select the subscription plan you’re interested in on the Blink Subscription Plan landing page
  3. While in the purchasing flow on Amazon, you'll be asked to attach the plan to your device (Basic Plan) or to your Blink Account (Plus Plan).
  4. Your Blink device is now covered with a Blink Subscription Plan!

If you’re interested in purchasing a Blink Subscription Plan, you can opt for a Basic Plan at $3.00 per month per device or a year-long subscription at a two-month discount of $30. For the Plus Plan, you can opt for a monthly plan at $10.00 per month covering all devices on your account or a year-long subscription at a two-month discount of $100!

Can I try a Blink Subscription Plan before I subscribe?

Yes. A 30-day free trial of the Blink Subscription Plus Plan begins when you set up your new Blink Video Doorbell, Blink Mini, Outdoor, or Indoor camera.

Cameras covered by an extended free trial of the Blink Subscription Plus Plan are limited to 7200 seconds per Sync Module of cloud storage.

If your account was created on or before April 15th, 2020, you will continue to have access to 7200s (2 hours) of free cloud storage and other features for any devices set up in your account and will not receive a free trial. Click here to learn more.


How can I see the remaining days that are in my trial period?

When you are within your 30-day free trial period, you will see a banner on the home screen of your app that shows the remaining days of your trial period. Additionally, you will receive an email regarding the remaining days of your trial, with links to assist you with purchasing a subscription plan. You also have the option to cancel your free trial within the Blink app Account screen.


What devices are eligible for a Blink Subscription Plan?

Blink devices including the Blink Video Doorbell, Blink Mini, Indoor, and Outdoor cameras are eligible for both the Basic and Plus Plan.

Blink XT, XT2, and legacy Indoor cameras are eligible for the Blink Plus Plan featuring 60-day unlimited cloud storage.

The Blink Subscription Plus Plan will cover all Blink cameras on your account, including any Blink XT, XT2, and legacy Indoor cameras.

I am having trouble subscribing? What do I do?

We are here to help! First make sure you have set up a device in your Blink account. Then ensure you have linked your Amazon and Blink accounts from Account Settings in the Blink Home Monitor app. If you have already completed these steps, contact us.


Is a Blink Subscription Plan required to use my Blink products?

No. Your Blink products provide their standard features (such as motion alerts, live view, and two-way audio) without any subscription. Blink Subscription Plans offer additional features for those who want them.

If your account was created on or before April 15th, 2020, you will continue to have access to 7200s (2 hours) of free cloud storage and other features for any devices set up in your account. You can choose to upgrade to unlimited video recording by purchasing a Blink Subscription Plan at any time. Click here to learn more.


Will I lose access to my videos if I cancel my plan or my trial expires?

Your existing videos will remain available for viewing, downloading, and sharing in the Blink app until they are deleted based on the auto-delete setting. Click here to learn more.


What happens when I add a new Blink device?

With the Blink Subscription Plus Plan, all Blink devices on the account are covered automatically. If you’re currently subscribed to a Blink Subscription Basic Plan and want your new device covered, you can add another Basic plan, or upgrade to the Plus Plan.


Can I use multiple phones or tablets with my Blink products without a Blink Subscription Plan?

Yes. Every Blink product can be monitored and managed by an unlimited number of mobile phones and tablets.


What is Rapid video access and how does it affect the way I view video clips?

Rapid video access allows you to instantly watch your videos as soon as they’re recorded. This feature is only available to customers with subscription plans. Videos can be accessed with reduced-loading times from the cloud, compared to clips viewed from local storage.


I am a Blink Subscription Plus Plan subscriber, how do I redeem my 10% discount?

Your discount becomes available once your free trial ends and your Plus Plan subscription becomes active. Log in to Amazon.com using the account you used to subscribe to the Plus Plan. Once you have added Blink products to your cart, the discount will be automatically calculated and added during checkout.

What are the terms to the 10% discount?
Applies to customers with an active Blink Subscription Plus Plan at the time of purchase.

  • Applied at time of checkout.
  • Only available for customers with a paid and active Blink Plus plan.
  • 10% off Blink hardware and accessories only.
  • Discount does not apply retroactively.
  • Discount is not available for Amazon Business accounts.

What happens if I cancel my Blink Subscription Plan when my account is grandfathered?

Accounts created on or before April 15th, 2020 benefit from 7200s (2 hours) of free cloud storage. If you chose to subscribe a Blink Subscription Plan and later decided to cancel it, you will lose access to unlimited video recording for the devices covered by the plan(s) and your devices will revert back to 7200s (2 hours) of free cloud storage.


I have Blink products at more than one address. Does one Blink Plus subscription cover them all?

Yes. Plus Plans will cover eligible devices at multiple addresses, as long as they're under the same Blink account.


When will I be billed for my Blink Subscription Plan?

After the 30-day free trial, you will be billed based on the subscription plan and date when you purchased. Click here to learn more about Blink Subscription Plans.


What if I don’t want to pay for/renew a subscription?

To cancel your subscription, go to your Amazon account and select Your Memberships & Subscriptions.


Can I purchase a subscription post-purchase?

Yes, this can be done through your account from Your Memberships & Subscriptions.


Can I gift a subscription plan?

No.


Am I going to be auto enrolled or will I be notified first? My credit card information is on file with Amazon.

Customers are not auto enrolled and can purchase subscriptions on Amazon.com.


How do I subscribe and manage my subscription?

Anytime during your 30-day free trial, link your Amazon and Blink accounts and then attach your Blink Subscription Plan to a device or account. Once you have purchased, you can manage your subscription through your Amazon account under Your Memberships & Subscriptions.


What are the terms to the extended warranty?

For the extended warranty coverage to apply to your Blink device, the device must be within its original warranty period when you subscribe to the Blink Plus Plan. Once the original warranty expires, the device will be covered under the Blink Plus Plan until your Plus Plan is cancelled. Non-Blink and other third-party devices are not eligible for the extended warranty.


Are Blink accessories covered by extended warranty if I have an unlimited subscription?

Yes, if you have an unlimited subscription, otherwise they have a 1 year warranty in the US and 2 year in the EU/UK.
