How do I purchase a Blink plan?

How do I subscribe to an ai plan if I already have a Blink plan through Apple?

If you currently have a Blink plan through Apple, you'll need to cancel your existing plan and wait for it to expire before you can purchase a new ai plan¹. You cannot purchase an ai plan while an active Apple plan is in place.

To cancel your Blink plan via Apple:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Find your Blink subscription and tap Cancel Subscription. You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button. If there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled.

Your current plan will remain active until the end of your billing period. Once your Apple plan expires, you can purchase the new ai plan. Learn more about canceling a subscription from Apple.

I'm having trouble activating a plan purchased on Amazon. What can I do?

If you purchased a Blink plan on Amazon, and your plan isn't activating, make sure you've linked your Amazon and Blink accounts:

1. In the Blink app, tap Settings.
2. Tap Account and Privacy, then tap Amazon Account Linking.
3. Tap Agree and Continue, and sign in using your Amazon credentials.
4. Once you sign in, a linking confirmation message displays.
5. Tap Done to return to the Account and Privacy screen, where your Amazon account displays as linked.

If your Amazon and Blink accounts are already linked:

• Ensure you've linked the correct Amazon account to your Blink account. To learn more, visit Link your Blink account to your Amazon account.
• Ensure you've attached your basic ai or basic plan to an eligible device. To learn more, visit Attach and Manage basic plans in the Blink app.

Can I try a Blink plan before I purchase it?

Yes, a 30-day no-cost trial of plus ai¹ begins when you set up a new eligible Blink camera. 

Your trial starts as soon as you activate your Blink product and is not applicable for locations with an existing plus plan. Learn more about purchasing a Blink plan.

¹Customers in Illinois receive a plus trial and are not eligible for plus ai plan trials. XT, XT2, and Indoor (1st Gen) cameras are not eligible for a plus ai plan trial.

Is a Blink plan required to use my Blink devices?

No, all Blink devices are automatically equipped with essential features such as live view, motion alerts, and two-way audio.

How do I attach or move my basic ai or basic plan to a different device?

From the Blink app, you can attach your basic ai or basic plan to an eligible device, or move it to a different eligible device. Can I manage my Blink system on Blink.com?

To manage your Blink system and devices, you must use the Blink app.

If you purchased your Blink plan on Blink.com (available in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom), you can only manage your plan on Blink.com. You can change payment information, cancel, or upgrade your plan on the website.

If you purchased through Amazon, you must manage your plan on Amazon. Learn more about managing your memberships and subscriptions.

What happens if I cancel my Blink plan if my account was created before April 15, 2020?

Accounts created on or before April 15, 2020 include 7200 seconds of no-cost cloud storage. If you cancel your Blink plan, you will lose access to plan features, and your devices will revert to 7200 seconds of no-cost cloud storage.

How do I cancel my Blink plan?

To cancel a plan purchased on Blink.com: 

1. From your web browser, visit Blink.com and log in with your email and password.
2. Enter the verification code received via text message, WhatsApp, or email, and click Verify Code.
   • If you do not receive a code, the Resend Code button will appear after 90 seconds. Click it to request a new one.
3. Click My Plan.
4. At the bottom of the page, click Cancel My Plan.
5. An explanation page displays the devices that will lose coverage. Click Cancel Plan.

After you cancel, plan benefits will continue until the end of the plan's next renewal date.

You can cancel your Blink plan for any reason through Memberships & Subscriptions in your Amazon account. Account details such as the renewal date and plan status (active or canceled) are also shown here.

What is a plus ai trial?

The plus ai plan trial is a no-cost, 30-day trial* that gives you access to plus ai plan features across all your eligible Blink devices. The plus ai plan trial starts automatically when you set up a new eligible Blink device.

During your trial:

• A banner in the app shows how many days are left in your trial.
• You'll receive email reminders as your trial ends.
• All eligible Blink devices on your account are covered by the plus ai plan.
• Adding a new eligible Blink device extends your trial by 30 days.

Will I lose access to my clips if I cancel my plan or my no-cost trial expires?

No, your existing clips stay available in the Blink app, where you can view, download, and share them. However, saved clips will be deleted based on your settings in the Blink app (up to 60 days for United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand, 30 days for all other regions) and cannot be restored.

What happens when my no-cost trial ends?

When the trial ends:

• You’ll lose access to plan-only features like Extended Live View, Person Detection, and Blink Moments.
• All cloud recording stops.
• Saved clips stay available in the Blink app, where you can view, download, and share them.
• Saved clips will be deleted based on your settings in the Blink app (up to 60 days for United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand, 30 days for all other regions) and cannot be restored.
• It does not automatically enroll you in a plan. To continue using plan features, you must purchase a Blink plan on Blink.com or on Amazon.

Blink XT, XT2, and legacy Indoor cameras are eligible for a plus plan; however, they do not require a plan to save videos when the no-cost trial ends. How do I redeem my Blink device discount?

Paid and active plus ai or basic ai¹ annual plans in the United States include 20% off Blink hardware. All other paid plans include 10% off. Your discount is automatically applied at checkout on Amazon. Please allow up to 24 hours after annual ai plan activation for the discount to be available for use. What are the terms of the Extended Warranty?

Blink offers extended warranty coverage for customers in the United States and Canada.

United States: “Eligible Blink Devices” are select Blink devices 1-year manufacturer’s warranty period which are added to an active plan that includes extended warranty coverage. In the U.S., in lieu of the Blink extended warranty, coverage plans are provided via a service contract administered by Allstate Protection Plans; terms are available here. The cost for the Allstate Protection Plan is included in the cost of plus ai or plus. In the U.S., you have the option to purchase a standalone device protection plan on Amazon.

Canada: For the extended warranty coverage to apply to your Blink device, the device must be within its original warranty period when you subscribe to a plus plan. Once the original warranty expires, the device will be covered under the plus plan until your plus plan is cancelled. Non-Blink and other third-party devices are not eligible for the extended warranty.

Are Blink accessories covered by the extended warranty?

No. Only Blink cameras and Sync Modules are covered by the extended warranty with plus ai or plus plan. Accessories are not covered.
