Arming and Disarming with Alexa

The Blink SmartHome Alexa skill makes it easy to arm and disarm your system hands-free with Alexa. To disarm by voice using Alexa, you must create a 4-digit Voice Code during device discovery. If you skipped setting up the Voice Code, you add it by following the Setting Up and Changing Your Alexa Voice Code steps below.

Arming and Disarming with Alexa

To arm your Blink system, say:

"Alexa, arm [system name]."

You do not need to provide Alexa with a voice code to arm your system.

To disarm your Blink system, say:

"Alexa, disarm [system name]."

Alexa will ask for your voice code. Anyone asking Alexa to disarm a Blink system can provide the voice code if they know it.
